Mozambique is elevating their national parks! The most prominent is the remodelled Gorongosa National Park, extending 5,250km, and going on a safari is one of the best things to do in Mozambique. It became Mozambique's first conservation site during the final years of Portuguese colonisation, and was once regarded as the best safari destination in Africa! You can encounter the big 5, and other resident species like sable antelope, impala, and duiker- wild dog, waterbuck, reedbuck, bushbuck, kudu and eland.
Then there is Limpopo National Park, which shares a border of 200 miles with Kruger National Park of South Africa. The river Shingwedzi flows through Limpopo National Park and is home to all kinds of wildlife and breathtaking scenery. Its grounds are massive, with over 1 million hectares to its name!
