The amount of college sports teams can seem endless at times and the rivalries are often hard to remember. Here are three college rivalries that should never be forgotten. Please notice the Utah rivalry at the top of the list.
5
Utah v. BYU
If not only because both these colleges are in Utah and they are within 20 miles from each other. How do you forget a rivalry that is also referred to as the “Holy War”? Blue versus Red; the Utah Utes beat the BYU Cougars for the fourth year in a row and the Cougars won’t get the chance to redeem themselves for at least couple of years due to both teams advancement into different conferences.
4
Army v. Navy
Neither team is a college football frontrunner, however the annual mash-up between Army and Navy is still one of the most popular around. This rivalry has certainly proven itself to be an all-American standout with bragging rights going to the servicemen and women that the teams represent. It is especially important to student athletes since very few of them continue on to play past college.
3
Ohio State v. Michigan
Anyone who admits to never have heard anything pertaining to “The Game” better be prepared to get an earful. In the oldest college rivalry, Ohio State and Michigan have been meeting since 1897. Michigan is suffering from a seven-year losing streak, but hopefully they can snap that streak this year.
