A group of 9 islands forming part of the Mu Ko Similan Marine National Park, the archipelago of Similan Islands is set about 84 kilometres northwest of Thailand's popular holiday island in the vicinity of Koh Phi Phi, the idyllic island of Phuket. Unlike most other islands in southern Thailand, Similan Islands have managed to preserve its pristine, untouched nature from over-commercialisation. Adding to the authentic tropical island charm are the archipelago's incredible dive sites, which make the Similan Islands one of the top 10 destinations on earth for top-notch diving.
