My journey in Pediatric Cardiology started back in 2004, after finishing my post-graduation in Pediatrics. During my post-graduation, I saw that heart disorder treatment for children was a huge challenge both for parents and doctors.

जन्मजात हृदय दोष वाले बच्चे वे होते हैं जिनके हृदय की संरचना या कार्य में जन्म से ही कोई समस्या होती है। यह जन्म दोष का सबसे आम प्रकार है। रिपोर्ट के अनुसार भारत में 1000 जीवित जन्मों में से लगभग 8-10 में जन्मजात हृदय दोष होते हैं। वैज्ञानिकों द्वारा जन्मजात ह्रदय रोग के कारण को पूरी तरह से समझा नहीं जा सका है। यह एक जटिल स्थिति है जो मातृ भ्रूण या आनुवंशिक कारकों से संबंधित हो सकती है। यदि किसी भाई-बहन या करीबी रिश्तेदार को जन्मजात हृदय दोष है, तो इसका जोखिम 3-5% हो सकता है।
हृदय मानव शरीर का एक अहम अंग है, जो कि हमारे शरीर में रक्त-प्रभाव को नियंत्रित करता है। ये हमारे पूरे शरीर में रक्त तथा ऊतकों तक ऑक्सीजन व पोषक तत्व पहुंचाने का काम करता है। अगर हमारे हृदय में थोड़ी-सी भी समस्या होती है, तो हमारे स्वास्थ्य पर बहुत गंभीर प्रभाव पड़ता है।
