At 220 metres in height, Diyaluma Falls is the second highest waterfall in Sri Lanka and 361st highest waterfall in the world, making for another attraction for tourists to Ella to indulge in. It is not only the waterfall itself that makes visiting Diyaluma Falls one of the top things to do in Ella, but also the adventurous trek that takes you to the falls.
Travel to Ella by train from Kandy, which is dubbed as the most beautiful train ride in the world. The 4-hour train ride will take you through some of the most breathtaking landscapes of the hill country of the teardrop island, where the journey to Ella itself will be high on your list of favourite Ella experiences.
