Family Friendly Attractions to visit on Desaru Coast – The best destination for a wholesome getaway

Desaru, with its seaside town and beautiful beaches, is a fantastic place to relax and unwind away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. No one should be surprised by the growing popularity of Desaru Coast, as the area was recognised by TIME as one of the World's Greatest Places in 2021.

1

Desaru Coast Adventure Park

Get your bags together because it's time to head to the Adventure Waterpark Desaru Coast. The waterpark has over 20 rides, both wet and dry, making it perfect for families with children of all ages. A birthday celebration here or a weekend break with the kids guarantees lots of fun in the water.

Produce from Desaru Fruit Farm

Visiting Desaru Fruit Farm is like taking a vacation in a tropical paradise. It is the premier agro-tourism destination in Malaysia. At the outset of each journey, guests are treated to a tour of the farm, the agriculture exhibit, and the herb and vegetable garden. Additionally, there is a discussion about bees for those interested in learning more. Don't pass up the chance to sample some of the region's raw honey. Explore the orchards on an all-terrain vehicle, or take your children to the petting zoo and have an adventure.

Firefly Park in Kota Tinggi

Your 45-minute boat from Desaru will take you to a spot where you can see the beautiful night-time light show put on by fireflies among the tall mangrove trees that line the riverbank. At 7:30 o'clock in the evening, the first cruise sets sail, followed by others at 8:30 and 9:30. The most magical time to see the bugs is after sunset, so if you can, try to schedule your visit at about 7.30 p.m.
If you are looking for the cream of the crop in terms of Desaru attractions, then places like this Firefly Park in the vicinity of the Anantara Desaru Coast Resort & Villas are something that should not be missed!

4

The Desaru Ostrich Farm

Desaru Ostrich Farm is a fantastic way to get up night-time and personal with the stunning birds for only RM20 per person. An interesting fact is that the Desaru Ostrich Farm is home to almost 200 birds. It's one of the largest ostrich ranches in Malaysia, making it a great spot for youngsters to learn about animals and explore the grounds. Do not fret; photography is encouraged and not forbidden.
You may visit the farm, which is only 25 minutes out from shore, and learn all about the ostriches while you take a tour of the grounds. You can also feed them and ride them for an extra cost if you're feeling daring.

The Els Club, Desaru Coast

The Els Club Desaru Coast is a golfer's paradise, famed for its superb course and breathtaking views. Both the Ocean and Valley courses are available for play. Prepare to tee off at one of the beautiful courses created by Ernie Els (a four-time major winner) and Vijay Singh (a three-time major winner).
The Ocean Course, with its stunning panorama of the South China Sea, and the two nine-hole courses are among the highlights. Amazingly, each design draws ideas from well-known courses in different parts of the United Kingdom. If you'd want to combine a round of golf with a stay at your preferred hotel, you can do so by taking advantage of one of the many golf packages that are available.
