Potala Palace is not only a symbol of Tibet, but also a holy place in the hearts of pilgrims. This majestic Tibetan-style palace is high above the ground. Namtso is located in central Tibet, the second largest lake in Tibet. The lake is 4,718 meters above sea level. Namtso is Tibetan which means "Heavenly Lake". Namtso is one of the "Three Holy Lakes" in Tibet. Namtso is the first sacred lake of the ancient Bon religion and is also famous for one of the Buddhist holy places.
"Yamdroktso" means "Jasper Lake". Yamdroktso Lake is located in Langkazi County, Shannan Perfecture, about 70 kilometers southwest of Lhasa. Together with Namtso and Manasarovar, it is called the three holy lakes in Tibet. It is the largest inland lake in the northern foothills of the Himalayas.
Manasarovar Lake is 35 kilometers east of Pulan County, Ngari region of Tibet, and south of Mount Kailash. The surrounding natural scenery is very beautiful. Since ancient times, Buddhist believers have regarded it as a holy place and "the center of the world". It is also the source of four major rivers in Asia.
The Guge Kingdom is located in Zanda County, Ngari Prefecture, Tibet, and is considered to be the capital of the Guge Dynasty. The Guge Dynasty was established by the descendants of the Tubo royal family. It existed from the 9th century to the 17th century AD and disappeared overnight.
