With a length of 125 metres, Langkawi Sky Bridge is a pedestrian bridge that runs over the Telaja Tujuh waterfalls and the Gunung Mat Cincang. Set at 700 metres above sea level, the bridge will bring you breathtaking views that sweep over the small islets that surround the island. The bridge is strong enough to hold 250 people at any one time. Located about thirty minutes from Pelangi Beach Resort & Spa, you can get here by the Langkawi Cable Car.
Also known as Dataran Lang, Eagle Square is one of the best-known landmarks in Langkawi. This sculpture of an eagle ready to take flight is 12 metres tall. You will find numerous duty-free shops, restaurants, and a mall in the vicinity, which is not surprising as this is one of the most visited tourist attractions on the island; if you decide to stay at a beach resort in Langkawi, chances are you'll be able to get here within half an hour.
The island's highest peak, Gunung Raya, is elevated above sea level at 881 metres. The lore dictates that this mountain is actually a giant named Mat Raya, who was cursed to take the form of a mountain. Visiting Gunung Raya is an excellent opportunity to see local wildlife. White-bellied sea eagles, mountain hawk eagles, squirrels, monkeys, great hornbills, and flying foxes are some of the species you are likely to encounter on your visit.
For the best panoramic views, sign up for a cable car ride. The ride to the summit of Gunung Machinchang is 15 minutes long, and along the way, you'll see some of the most beautiful scenery Malaysia has to offer. At the top of the mountain are several eateries where you can enjoy a delicious snack; you'll also find several gift shops that sell various gift items.
Located 45 minutes from the Kuah Jetty, Pulau Payar Marine Park is one of the best-known parks for diving and snorkelling. Getting here involves a catamaran or speedboat ride. One of the highlights of the park is the Coral Garden, a separate area with colourful corals. Before heading to the park, you need to get permission from the relevant authorities, or alternatively, you can sign up for a guided group tour.
With a collection of 200 impressive artworks, 3D Art in Paradise Langkawi is among the most visited museums in the country. The three-storey building is a treasure trove for art lovers. The museum is located right beside the Langkawi Cable Car. There are nine different sections, all dedicated to 3D art.
One of the most beautiful natural attractions in Langkawi, Telaga Tujuh Waterfall is found on the western headlands. Locals believe that the waterfall is the home to fairies. The name Telaga Tujuh Waterfall is derived from the seven connected pools fed by seven different waterfalls. You can enjoy a refreshing dip in the water or hike up to the top of the waterfall.
One of the best beaches on the island, Black Sand Beach can be reached by Langkawi Cable Car within 20 minutes. The beach is one of the most popular hangout spots on the island. The mixture of black and white sand is the main highlight.
This is a unique theme park based on folklore. You can walk around and explore the park, or you can get around by buggy. Inside the park are sculptures of mythical birds, giants, princesses, and ogres. If you are here with your kids, you should definitely visit Legenda Park.
To the west of Legenda Park is Al-Hana Mosque, a Moorish-style religious site. The island's largest mosque, Al-Hana Mosque, is designed with traditional Malay elements. Its golden dome is the best feature.
