Top 5 Beaches in Koh Phi Phi- Revel in paradise!

Koh Phi Phi is one of the most isolated among the Thai islands, which means there are plenty of pristinely beautiful beaches for those who want a different vibe from the touristy beaches of other islands.

1

Nui Beach

Located on a small cove southward of Lana Bay, towards the west of Koh Phi Phi. The beach is surrounded by towering karsts offering opportunities for rock climbing with incredible views. Nui Beach is also famous among snorkelling enthusiasts. One can reach Nui Beach via Loh Dalum by boat, for around a hundred to two hundred baht. If you are up for an unforgettable hike, then try the paths accessible through Loh Bagao or Loh Lana; however, know that the pathway is precipitous and can get tough for those who are inexperienced in trekking through different types of terrain. Find a luxury hotel on Phi Phi Island; the likes of SAii Phi Phi Island Village are among the top choices you can consider for your stay.

2

Moo Dee Bay

This 300-metre-stretch of the beach is towards the southeastern end of Koh Phi Phi. While abundant coconut trees are in its south, a dense rainforest thrives in the north. It is great for snorkelers, and there is also a bar and restaurant operated by the local Rasta for a nice meal and drink overlooking the beach. There are two ways to reach Moo Dee Bay, either via a boat taken at Tonsai Pier, which can take you there within 10 minutes, or trek to the beach past the viewpoint at Phi Phi, after Tonsai Village. The trek is not overly difficult and will take around 45 minutes to reach the location.

3

Lana Bay

It is a 500-metre stretch of beach concealed on a cove found on the western shore of the island. Both flanks of the cove are rather deep and extend for 600 metres from the opening of the bay to the beachside. There are limestone and granite karsts, and lush foliage all over the beach.
The cove, however, is somewhat shallow at 2 metres, which allows for snorkelling in the crystal-clear ocean. You won't find any shops in Lana Bay; however, towards the hinterland, there is a little village with some nice restaurants, which is just ten minutes away from the bay.

4

Viking Beach

In a small location between Long Beach and eastward of Tonsai, there are two beaches separated from a miniature rocky projection swathed in dense vegetation, where you will encounter Viking Beach. This beach is great for swimming and snorkelling. Also, there is a restaurant on the beach to relax with a meal, and take in the tranquil setting.

5

Phak Nam Bay

The cove is also called Relax Bay and is southward from Loh Bagao towards the eastern shore of Koh Phi Phi. This 400-metre stretch of beach is the perfect location for a break minus the hubbub present on other islands. Located between the Andaman Sea, the eclectic mix of blue and green surrounds the entire bay. You can reach Phak Nam Bay from a boat, or if you are staying in Loh Bagao or Laem Thong, there is a path via the jungle, but know that the pathway is quite steep!
