This long beach with shallow water is an absolute favourite with families with children as it has shallow water posing no risk to kids. With no fee levied, the warm and clear water is deliciously inviting enticing all visitors to spend time swimming or lazing by the beach. At dusk savour the incredible beauty of the setting sun by the beach which is considered one of the best Ao Nang things to do.
This is a somewhat smaller night market however with loads of varieties of food, Thai sweets, beer, cocktails, and comfy seating drawing people not only to shop but also to socialize and mingle. Plenty of souvenir and clothing shops do good business as prices are attractive.
Situated close to the Ao Nang Beach on Muslim Road, this traditional mosque with dramatic arched windows is stunning from the outside with the golden onion domes whilst inside too has a nice atmosphere drawing visitors from Avani Ao Nang Cliff Krabi Resort to admire the architecture and the serenity of the building. Walking down the street you can also witness the Muslim shops as well as loads of halal food outlets.

This charming art gallery is home to creations by a talented artist, Dao. The fantastic psychedelic art of will please you and you may want to see her other artistic creations too, such as intricate henna art.
A secluded and quiet beach in Ao Nang, this beach is famous as it is on the famous Monkey Trail due to monkeys being spotted on the path regularly. This beach is privately maintained by a Centara Group Resort; however, non-guests of the resort are permitted to visit this lovely beach at no charge.
Lying between Krabi and Ao Nang on the Railay peninsula, Phra Nang beach with deep turquoise waters is overlooked by impressive limestone cliffs offering a vantage point for spectacular views of Krabi. Complementing this scenic beauty are the natural caves which are worth exploring. All these come free of charge.
Local legend is that a tiger lived here once, at present the caves with many statues of Lord Buddha as well as many relics are open to the public free of charge. There is also a large, seated Buddha image and gold-painted chedi you must see by ascending 1237 steps, it is not difficult if you take them slowly once up there be sure to soak in the view from the top.
