This beachside destination is a great place for thrill seekers and adventure enthusiasts as well. Check out below for inspiration to keep the inner adventurer in you happy!

1

Sea Kayaking

Talabeng Kayaking conducts tours with 10 per group, and their itinerary includes a stop at the hollow caves at Koh Phee (Ghost Island), climbing over tires, and utilising ropes to investigate numerous other caves. Also, discover the Talabeng Islands and visit caves and more secluded beaches. Be warned that there are no harnesses and other safety equipment here. Refreshments and lunch are also provided by the small family-run company. For more bang for your buck, you get to feast on a beautiful beach with some great company!

2

Visit Khao Mai Kaew Cave

The guided tour takes around 2.5 hours to complete. This includes the hike up to the cave, exploration, and the return journey. It is important to know that you cannot enter without a guide, who are local men who run the operation. The cave can get narrow and steamy hot, with tight squeezes and plenty of crawls! Headlights will be provided. Take some water with you and wear comfortable clothing.

3

Trek through Mu Koh Lanta National Park

Mu Koh Lanta National Park is located south of the island. The excursion to the National Park is quite scenic, with adventurous and cheeky monkeys along the route. The foremost attraction is the Koh Lanta Lighthouse, which is a landmark of sorts for the island. Jungle treks within the park will lead you through lush dense forests to witness the wildlife. There is also a spectacular beach with blue waters and white sand. Many resorts in Krabi the likes of Avani+ Koh Lanta Krabi Resort can be a great place to stay as you enjoy the island.

4

Khlong Chak Waterfall and the Bat Cave

Although the waterfall is not an exceptional sight during the dry months, the trek via the lush jungle is worthwhile the journey. You get to walk along a clear stream and across a jungle of lovely ancient banyan trees with overgrown roots spreading across the terrain. Also, there is a cavern to explore, known as the bat cave by the locals with all kinds of vines and trees flourishing on the gravel.

5

Four Island Tour

While in Koh Lanta, take the four-island expedition. These excursions take you to Koh Chuak, Koh Kradan, Koh Mook and Koh Ngai. You can find full-day treks to the islands as well as the surrounding caves, which are typically priced at around $50 per adult. You get to swim along a heart-stopping pitch-dark 80-metre narrow passage with the assistance of a tour guide and your flashlight. Once you go through it, a hidden lagoon, surrounded by towering limestone ridges, will be there to greet you! It is an experience you won't be forgetting anytime soon. Apart from these activities, usually, a tour comprises a hotel transfer, potable water, a lunch buffet, snorkelling gear, and the fees for the National Park.
