A 40-minute drive away from the city centre is an avid adventurers' favourite, the scenic Taco Lake, which is popular for its adrenaline-pumping wakeboarding. For those who aren't quite familiar with the water sport of wakeboarding, in layman's terms, it is "water skiing" on what closely resembles a snowboard. Usually, in wakeboarding, the board is towed around by a motorboat, but at Thailand's first ever cable wake park, the metal cables that are attached to a network of motors do the job. Adding to the fun is the assortment of fresh, mouth-watering Thai food that is being served up at the facility's very own kitchen on site. Even if heart-pumping wakeboarding isn't your thing, the gorgeous scenery that surrounds the lake makes for a great spot to unwind in tranquillity.
