The most stunning beaches in Mauritius – All you need to see

Welcome to Mauritius! The land of stunning beaches like you've never seen before, tropical life like you've always wished for and much much more!

1

Flic en Flac

Among the many attractions in Mauritius, one of the optimal things to do is go beach hopping. Start off at Flic en Flac, which is located on the west coast. This area has quickly gained popularity in the recent past, mainly for its unspoiled charm. Initially, a quiet fishing village, Flic en Flac quickly developed into a tourism hub, bringing in thousands of tourists every single day. This hub is home to some of the best beaches, especially if you're on the lookout for crystal-clear waters. Better yet, Flic en Flac is ideal for children and families, since its coral reefs block the ocean currents, allowing everyone to enjoy a dip or two!

2

Grand Bay

Also known commonly as Grand Baie, you'll find this pristine location in the north of Mauritius. In the 17th century, the area was called The Endless Bay, when the Dutch ruled the place. The lively local towns and clean water are two main reasons for this area's well-deserved popularity. Furthermore, if you're in the mood for some water activities such as water skiing or sailing, there are numerous water sports facilities. You can enjoy everything there is to your heart's content!

3

Belle Mare

Once you visit Belle Mare, you've pretty much-witnessed paradise on earth, it's that mesmerizing! Located in the west of Mauritius and a quick 1-hour drive from Anantara Iko Mauritius, you can easily spend a couple of hours here. Perfect for long walks with ice cream in one hand, Belle Mare is the place to go when you need some ultimate relaxing time. Better yet, parasailing is largely popular in this area, so if you're up for the challenge, you can get your own boost of adrenaline! Belle Mare, apart from boasting a pristine 10-kilometre coastline, is also home to Lion Mountain. If you're a hiker looking for some trekking, this hike is said to take half a day and can become quite challenging. Nevertheless, the fabulous view makes the daunting walk worth every minute.

Blue Bay

Just as the name suggests, Blue Bay is where you need to go, in order to witness all the stunning shades of blue possible. A natural park since 1997, this small gem is protected by local laws. Ideal for snorkelling and exploring the vibrant underwater life, Blue Bay will not disappoint. Located very close to the city of Mahbourg, you can't help but appreciate this uncontaminated area. If you're looking for some tranquillity, this is where you need to head to. Although there aren't as many restaurants and cafes in the area, the location makes the trip worth it. Even if you don't have too much time on your hands, Blue Bay is the place to head to!
