We walk alongside The Grand Canal in Dublin to start a day-long visit of the capital. The canal connects Dublin, in the east of Ireland, with the River Shannon in the west, via Tullamore and a number of other villages and towns, the two canals nearly encircling Dublin's inner city.
The Pepper Canister Church or the Pepper Pot Church was the last of a series of Georgian Churches built by the Church of Ireland. This "Gem of Dublin" is situated on Mount Street Crescent just off the grand canal.
