Adelaide is a beautiful city with a myriad of activities for the outdoorsy type and those who like some adventure now and again in their lives. Even the central city is surrounded by parkland, making Adelaide the greenest city in Australia.

1

Hiking in Adelaide

Adelaide has a great many walking trails, suitable for those of all fitness levels. However, one of the best areas to go hiking is Morialta Conservation Park. The rocky cliffs and formations are incredible, with many wonderful sights and sounds. The number of birds and animals you will be able to spot will depend on the routes you take, but there will be something to delight everyone. Don't forget to look up and above to spot koalas napping on their beloved gum trees.

Kayaking and dolphins

Explore the dense mangrove covers in Adelaide on a kayak beside the city's dolphin population at the Dolphin Sanctuary Kayak Tours. The excursion will guide you along 10000-year-old reserves of mangroves, which are home to over 330 dolphins. Expeditions are conducted by Marine Biologists who have a world of knowledge about aquatic life and wildlife.
You won't require prior experience to join the kayak tour. Newbies and those with varying fitness levels will be welcomed to join the experience. It is an amazing opportunity to experience the most lively and social creatures on the sea.

Ride across the Hills of Adelaide on an electric bike. At Mount Lofty, you can find the electric bike tour, which is a journey through winding pathways via Adelaide Hills. It starts with a bus ride to Hahndorf. The tour starts from there, and you will get to witness dramatic views of Mount Osmond, and understand the history behind the Pioneer Women's Trail, all the while glimpsing koalas and all kinds of wildlife living amongst the greenery. You can take a coffee break near Mount Lofty Summit, and continue along the forest tracks to Mount Osmond to finish at Hahndorf, where the tour started. While there, take the chance to explore this historical German village in Adelaide.
