Most Instagrammable Spots in Hoi An – A dream location for avid photographers, take your pick of some enchanting spots!

Beautiful architecture, enormous fields of golden rice, multi-coloured lanterns and quaint alleyways are some of the spots among an array of many fascinating locations in Hoi An. Get yourself a traditional Non-La, the typical Vietnamese hat, and the stage is set to have your camera rolling.

1

Amazing rice fields of Hoi An

Looking green or gold throughout the year this agricultural town keeps surprising visitors from hotels in Hoi An with many hidden treasures. Walk to the rice fields at sunrise as the rays of sunlight start caressing the fields and gradually become brighter. This is an ideal time to capture your images as the sunshine brings out a glow on the fields. Make sure you have your Non-La donned as you pose for the camera. Another favoured position by many visitors is on the bike tracks that criss-cross the rice fields.

The eye-catching lantern shops

Exporting their lanterns to other parts of the world, the traditional Hoi An lanterns are a unique cultural icon, so visiting a lantern shop is a must-do in your travel itinerary to view the beauties if not purchase a few. Plan to visit the lantern shop of your choice, as there are numerous ones. Doing it in the evening as most guests from hotels such as Anantara Hoi An Resort do gives the best results you need as the lanterns will be glowing as you would too in your smart outfit.

Do a romantic boat cruise on the river Thu Bon

Savour this scenic and gentle boat ride which is famed especially at sunset. The colourful lantern lights complement the glow of the city lights to create reflections on the water, making the ride a magical experience for all. Have the images clicked at the most appropriate time as you glide down. Alternatively, do a walk along the river to experience the beautiful reflections on the water and the brightly lit up streets. Find that unique spot to capture your image with the Non-La on having the glowing river in the background.

Embrace and explore the alleyways of Hoi An

Created as links between the major roads in the 17th century, Hoi An alleyways have curious names but are quite meaningful to locals. Ba Le alley has had the Ba Le well providing the coolest and tastiest water and Sica Alley had been home to Sica alcohol stores etc. These unique alleys are so narrow so much so only two people can walk alongside at points with houses or walls on either side. Do your image at one of the alleyways to have that profound experience not enjoyed by many.

Visit the famous Quan Cong temple

Built by the Chinese immigrants in the 17th century, this temple is devoted to the much respected Chinese military general by the same name. The intricate architectural features, elaborate gates, brightly coloured dragons and vibrant festivals held here keep attracting many visitors to admire this temple. Whilst you explore the calm premises don't fail to take images of this notable place of worship.
