Day by Day Planning in Seychelles – A holiday is a time for enjoyment and making memories, plan well to savour it!

Day one and two - Hello Seychelles

Arriving in Seychelles at Mahe Island, the biggest one in the Archipelago, plan to spend the day in Mahe getting familiar with this tropical island with around 80,000 Seychellois making it their home. Blessed with many picturesque beaches on the north and south ends of the island you have a choice to pick from. Day Two and Three – Praslin the Isle of Paradise

Arriving in Praslin will heighten the sense of euphoria which you have had earlier, witnessing the picture-perfect beaches lined with palms, sugar-fine sand, deep blue waters and tropical skies. This magnetic attraction must be savoured to the fullest to make your holiday memorable. It is not only the allure of the beaches that draw visitors it is also the ruggedly attractive jungle-covered Praslin National Park. Several hours of wonder and awe can be experienced here and a visit to the park is considered one of the unique things to do in Praslin.

Day Four – Tour a neighbouring island from Praslin

Anse Lazio beach is another scenic beach you can visit from Praslin which is offered as an illuminating day trip coupled with a nature reserve tour. Being picked up from your hotel around 9 a.m. travel to what the locals refer to as the Garden of Eden, which is the Mai Valley Nature Reserve. This is an enchanting walk, spotting birds such as the rare black parrot and many others, spot the sea coconuts which are endemic to Praslin and Curieuse islands in Seychelles. After that energizing walk, stroll towards Anse Lazio, another pristine beach for relaxation. You can enjoy a meal at a local restaurant before returning to the hotel as enjoyed by visitors at Anantara Maia Seychelles Villas.

Day Five - La Digue a haven for bikers

Take an early morning ferry ride to La Digue, a quick journey of 15 minutes. La Digue is also well known out of the 115 islands of the archipelago. It is home to what many people refer to as the most photographed beach in the world, Anse Source d'Argent. Being blessed with unique features such as imposing boulders which create a beautiful backdrop for films and commercials, and sightings of the rare Seychelles Black Flycatcher bird. La Digue is also an attraction due to the lack of automobiles to protect its pristine beaches. A great place for lovers of two-wheelers who can roam freely and enjoy the views.

Day Six – Explore the Craft Village and the Rum Distillery

As you prepare to take your flight back from Mahe and arrive there try to explore two more interesting attractions if you have time. Craft Village is operating on a former plantation home and provides you with the chance to witness many types of craft and local products here, such as candles, fridge magnets and even Tee Shirts. You can even purchase items to take back home as gifts and help the locals in promoting their craft. Just a short walk away is the famous Takamaka Rum Distillery where you can join a tour to learn about the process and even taste rum.
