This survey is designed to help you gain an understanding of learning styles so that you can incorporate the various learning styles in your daily learning activities. It is NOT meant to show you your best way of learning as the research does not promote that.
People learn in many different ways. For example, some people learn primarily with their eyes (visual learners) or with the ears (auditory learners); some people prefer to learn by experience and/or by "hands-on" tasks (kinesthetic or tactile learners); some people learn better when they work alone while others prefer to learn in groups.
Instructions: For each item, click on the response that most closely represents your approach. Complete all items. There are five major activities representing five different aspects of your learning and working style. At the end you will submit your results to your teacher, who will give you a handout, so that you can interpret your results.
This inventory gives you an opportunity to describe how you learn best. There are no right or wrong answers. Read the questions and rank (1, 2, 3, or 4) the responses according to how well they describe your reactions or feelings. 1 is the most preferred rank, 4 is the least preferred rank.
