SACSS is pleased to announce a FREE Testing Event for Hepatitis B (Hep B) at our #Flushing Community Center on Wednesday, August 24th, 2022. This Free HepB Testing Event is being conducted in partnership with The Korean Community Services of Metropolitan New York and the CheckHep B Patient Navigation Program in NYC.

In this one hour discussion, SACSS and sister organizations: the Asian & Pacific Islander American Health Forum (APIAHF), the Coalition for Asian American Children + Families (CACF), the Sikh American Legal Defense and Education Fund (SALDEF) will not only converse about South Asian American community experiences during the COVID-19 pandemic but also conduct a deeper conversation about health care access.

These past two years have been difficult ones for our Queens community of immigrants. That's why we're coming together to recognize not only our community.

In addition to coming together with our honored guests and community for an evening packed with a great line-up, excellent company, fantastic food, superstar emcees, and music by DJ Rekha, SACSS is honored to have the one and only New York Kathak Festival Dance Company performing at our Gala 2022.

SACSS is honored to have the one and only New York Kathak Festival Dance Company performing at SACSS Gala 2022. NY Kathak Festival Dance Company will be performing “Jal,” scored by Shri Indrajit Roy-Chowdhury, a composition in two raagas: Gawoti and Shree. The presentation will feature elements from the kathak repertoire, including pirouettes, footwork, lyrical movements, and storytelling.
