It is thought that these towers were initially used for worship all the way back in the 2nd Century AD. Originally, this structure was made of wood, which was brought to the ground in AD 774, and later replaced by stone and brick. The towers are also said to honour the goddess of the Dua Clan, Yang Ino Po Nagar, and are still used for worship by the Chinese, Cham and Vietnamese Buddhists. Originally, there were eight towers, however, only four remain presently. Among things to do in Quy Nhon, the Cham towers are a must-visit to witness the religious prominence of the towers. This is an attraction almost all hotels such as Avani Quy Nhon Resort will recommend.
