A popular holiday destination, there are many fun things to do in Ao Nang. For all adventurous activities, you need to get your walking shoes and swim swear ready! Here are some to do in Ao Nang.

Hot springs

One of the more relaxing activities to do in Ao Nang is chilling at Emerald pool, Blue pool, Krabi Hot Springs or Namtok Ron Hot Spring Waterfall. The best way to get across from one attraction to another is by hiring a scooter. Do keep in mind that the Emerald pool is quite a popular attraction, so it tends to get packed during the weekends as everyone comes to unwind! In order to avoid the crowds, the best time to go would be during the week. In order to get to the Blue pool, you need to do a bit of venturing through the forest, however, visitors are not allowed to swim in it.

Railay Beaches

If you're a beach lover, then head over to Railay beaches and spend a day or two here! Supposedly the most beautiful beach in Railay Peninsula, this beach is accessible only through a boat as limestone rocks on either side cut it from the mainland. With high cliffs and green jungles, coupled with the warm sea this area is a very popular destination to visit when in Thailand. The beach has an East and West side, with the West sharing a bay with Tonsai beach, ideal for sunbathing, swimming and catching the sunset. The East is ideal for some great photography captures and watching the sunrise.

Monkey Trail

A trail that cuts across through a forest-covered mountain all the way to Pai Plong beach, is perfect for those who like some quiet outdoor strolling. Before you leave Avani Ao Nang Cliff Krabi Resort to head to Monkey Trail, don't forget to wear your walking shoes. The trail is not too long but is home to a large colony of monkeys. You're likely to spot a lot of them during your walk, so you can take some time to observe them and click a few pictures! Feeding monkeys is prohibited, but the monkeys are quite used to humans. Nevertheless, they can become quite aggressive so it's best to be cautious.

Four Islands tour

Considered popular among Ao Nang things to do, this classic day trip tour is one thing that you should make time for! Koh Poda, Koh Gai, Koh Tub and Koh Mur are the four islands you'll visit, each a beauty of its own. The boat will stop at each location, giving you time to explore, swim, sunbathe and eat!

If you are looking for environmentally friendly water activity, Kayaking is the way to go. Ao Nang is gifted with many different coastal lines, so kayaking each of them offers a different perspective. You'll spot an array of wildlife, mostly birds, lizards and monkeys! You will also spot sand crabs and fish along the way.
