This road and its reputation are known all across the Southeast Asian region, and for good reason. A haven for the backpackers and their parties, you'll come across many market stalls, guesthouses, bars, cafes, restaurants, massage parlours, bookstores and even internet cafes lining the side of Khao San Road. This stretch is a kilometre long, but the vibrant nightlife is unending. The best part about Khao San Road is that it remains unchanged, but continues to attract newer and younger crowds to its side. Some of the popular groups you'll spot while sipping a beer here would be students, young locals, backpackers and the occasional family!
Royal City Avenue, also known as RCA is another one of Bangkok's popular party streets, but this street is more of a clubbing hotspot! 20 minutes away from hotels like Avani+ Riverside Bangkok Hotel, try and head toward RCA before it hits 10 PM as the street can get quite packed around this time. There are plenty of exciting and huge nightclubs to venture into, each bursting with hip-hop, live music or EDM! If you're visiting during the weekends or a long holiday, expect to see crowds spilling out of the clubs, with chairs and speakers blasting music onto the street, giving it a street party atmosphere! The crowd here is mostly young Thai females and males!
If you want to join in on the young and truly wild party goers of Thailand, Thonglor Soi 10 is the place. This location is known to attract Bangkok's wealthiest, and this will come as no surprise to you when you see the many upscale bars and restaurants which dot the street. You'll find some of the best Bangkok restaurants here, so you can have a lovely warm meal before you start partying! There are various kinds of clubs here, each offering a different vibe.
Boasting many quirky rooftop bars, bistros and swanky nightclubs, Sukhumvit has risen in popularity as a party destination as of late. With a nice combination of drinking spots and a party vibe – the street here is unmatched! Depending on the mood you're in, you can go for a more sophisticated drinking experience and end the night at the many interesting clubs in Sukhumvit Soi 11. The crowd that you're to expect is a good mix of expatriates, tourists and locals.
During the day, Silom Road will fool you into believing it's a commercial area, with its many banks and offices. However, it is as the sun goes down that the true party nature of Silom comes out, with pop-up market stalls, many bars and interestingly fun clubs to visit.
