Amazing Lion Rock at Sigiriya

Also known as Sigiriya Rock, this is a fortress and a monument of historical value in Sri Lanka which is a short 20-minute ride from Habarana. Declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site as well as the eighth wonder of the world, this site was completed in the 5th century, named Lion Rock due to the massive Lion image carved from rock which was the entrance to the fortress.
