Driving on a frozen road in winter is not amusing, to say the least, and dangerous with kids on board. It is even more tiresome for those who are not used to operating a vehicle under such conditions. Again, parking is another problem in Hirafu Village. However, Niseko has an expansive shuttle network that links it with the New Chitose Airport and Sapporo. Just get on a bus, and everyone will be in Niseko in 2.5 to 3 hours. For families who like to have a private transfer, it is available at a reasonable price.
Free shuttle buses are available every 20 minutes to take you to Hirafu Village and Hanazono. Niseko United also has a bus service during winter that allows guests with the All-Mountain-Pass to board for free. Many of the Niseko accommodation will be within range of all the shuttle services. The likes of Chatrium Niseko Japan are sound choices to consider.
