5 Thrilling Things to Do in Pattaya – An unforgettable holiday

What used to be a quiet fishing village in eastern Thailand, is now a holiday hub. Here are a few things you can do when you're in Pattaya city!

1

Pattaya Floating Market

Open from 9 am till 6 pm every day, Pattaya Floating Market is one way to experience the city and Thailand. Established in 2008, this riverside attraction is one of a kind. In fact, this is the largest freshwater pond to be found in the East of Thailand and is known commonly as Pattaya's own 'Little Venice. This stunning example of unique architecture comprises a floating market that is 10-hectares, boasting over 100 stalls and vendors. While you browse through the various products available, you can enjoy the beautiful scenery while witnessing the life of the locals. The stalls are made entirely of teak wood, unique to each region it represents, the Northern, Southern, North-eastern and Central areas of Thailand.

2

Nong Nooch Tropical Botanical Garden

If you enjoy a good stroll, then you must visit Nong Nooch Tropical Botanical Garden! You get the opportunity to explore this 240-hectare area, brimming with exotic tropical plants, unique sculptures and waterfalls! This popular garden draws inspiration from many western elements in order to garner attention but somehow manages to stay true to its Thai roots. You can enjoy an entire day exploring, and witnessing several cultural performances which speak the story of Thai dancing and history. You can take in the splendid views from the waters by hiring a rowboat!

3

Famous Walking Street

A visit to Thailand is incomplete without a stroll around the many neon-lit, vibrant walking streets brimming with parties and events known the world over. In Pattaya, this street is located on the southern side of Beach Road and runs 1 kilometre long, every inch covered with a bar or nightclub. Better yet, this street is located so close to the ocean so if you want some alone time away from the bustle, you're just a few steps away from the lovely beach!

4

Cartoon Network Amazone Waterpark

This is the first Cartoon Network-themed waterpark you'll come across, in the world. This is the greatest activity to consider if you're travelling with children as it will help them rekindle all their childhood memories and even your own. This waterpark offers over 150 rides and water slides, so it's undoubtedly going to be a lot of fun! When in Pattaya, things to do are innumerate so pack your best swimsuit at Avani Pattaya Resort, and head over to make the best memories!

Khao Chi Chan Buddha Mountain

While there are several Buddha statues in Thailand, this one is unique. Extending over 100 meters, this Buddha is one of a kind as it includes a golden engraving into a limestone hill. Although this isn't an ancient site, it's still worth visiting as it's a relaxing spot with stunning views. Don't forget your camera!
