This particular beach is located approximately 14 kilometres from the city centre and is quite popular with locals almost every day. During particular times of the year, one can also observe migratory birds searching for fish along the shores as well. Another white-sandy beach in Salalah, Taqah is located 60 kilometres from the city. The beach is popular among bird watchers thanks to the local and migratory birds that nest in and around the beach.
