Weligama meaning Sandy Village is a fishing settlement on the southern coast of Sri Lanka. The long stretch of beach is ideal to soak in the sun and enjoy the beach as most visitors do. For surf lovers, Weligama offers a variety of breaks suited for all standards from beginners to more advanced riders. The season at Weligama runs from December to April.
