Some of the best attractions in Quy Nhon are Champa Kingdom and its ruins. The Champa were indigenous people who lived in the coastal areas of Vietnam and were expert seafarers. The Kingdom lasted from the 7th to the 15th centuries.
Also known as 'two towers', it is one of the most easily accessible of all the Cham Towers. Built-in the 12-13th century, it is made from red bricks and sits majestically among banana trees and coconut palms.
These are four restored towers that are located on top of a hill, with amazing views of the countryside. The site is located 15 kilometres away from the main city centre. The Gate Tower will take you to the Fire Tower and the Sanctuary Tower. It stands at 29.6 metres in height. The Sanctuary Tower is adorned with pilasters that have five double grooves with opulent patterns on its roof of three layers.
It used to be a prosperous city and the capital from the 11th century up to 1471. Only a few remains can be seen today, such as remnants of the foundation walls, square wells, and stone lions.
It is located on the coastal road to the south of the city. The beach is sheltered by trees on either side and is mostly empty on weekdays. There are many shaded streets with cute shops, cafes and houses close to the beach. On the northern end is a memorial park, with commemorative busts of famous personalities.
It is about 20 km away northeast of the city centre. The beach offers a bit of adventure with a rocky coastline filled with many hills and caves, waiting to be explored. The landscape is rugged, hilly and secluded.
