There Are Various Spots in Seychelles Where You May See Birds and Animals - Exposure to the endemic species!

Seychelles is known for its beautiful white-sandy beaches lapped by the Indian Ocean; however, these islands are indeed home to a diverse range of species.

1

Praslin Island

It is the 2nd largest island in the archipelago after Mahe, and it is less urbanized than Mahe. Praslin is known for its huge stretches of white sandy coasts and tropical vegetation, and the famed but calm beaches of Anse Georgette and Anse Lazio are located on this island. Praslin is noted for being 1 of only 2 islands in which y of the island nation's endemic coconut Coco de Mer grows. Vallee de Mai Nature Reserve, home to orchids, Coco de Mer palms, and the Seychelles black parrot, has been designated a UNESCO World Heritage Site for its organic splendour. In the 19th century, British General Charles George Gordon attempted to prove that the valley was, in reality, the Garden of Eden. In addition to the 6 unique palms found in the reserve, there are twenty-eight other rare plant species, a variety of reptiles and birds, and animals that dwell in the freshwater streams, all of which contribute to the reserve's significance. As a result, there are plenty of things to do in Praslin. Make sure to stay here for a couple of days to explore what the island has to offer. You can check out properties like Anantara Maia Seychelles Villas if you would like your resort to arrange excursions for you!

2

Silhouette Island

The 4,930-acre granite island is the 3rd largest island in Seychelles, although it is unlike the others. Silhouette is a nature refuge with a variety of unique species of both flora and animals. The only method to visit the island is by trekking the pathways that weave through the tropical forest, which is believed to be the densest in the Indian Ocean. Pitcher plants and orchids are plentiful, with rare Seychelles sheath-tailed bats seen further up. The Silhouette Protection Project protects the island's unique wildlife, and ninety per cent of the territory is declared a national park. Silhouette is also a Marine National Park with a rich cultural past of Arab merchants and hidden riches.

3

Mahe Island

Despite the fact that this is Seychelles' biggest island, the capital city Victoria houses the majority of the inhabitants, leaving the remainder of Mahe to its hilly interior, jungle, and beautiful sandy beaches. Morne Seychellois National Park covers up to 20% of the island, with an ecosystem that varies considerably from coastal mangroves. The northwest coast of Mahe is the tranquil entryway to Port Launay Marine National Park, which offers excellent snorkelling and is particularly well renowned for whale shark sightings.

4

Cousine Island

As a result of the destruction caused by advancement in past years, this small island, which is only 2 kilometres from Praslin, has been transformed into an island-wide nature reserve, with more than 8,000 trees having been planted there since 1992 to compensate for the devastation caused by development in prior years. The island, which is currently pristine, is home to a number of conservation programs, including turtle protection and bird observation. Giant tortoises may be seen roaming freely, as can the endangered sooty tern or Seychelles white-eye birds. Hawksbill turtles breed all along sandy beaches between September and March, with the peak season being from November to January. Tourists to the island are urged to participate in these initiatives,

5

Fregate Island

Fregate Island, which is barely three-square kilometres in size, is home to a single resort, which has successfully transformed the isle into a wildlife sanctuary while inviting tourists to be active in conservation activities. There are up to 2,200 huge Aldabra tortoises roaming freely through the jungle, and rare hawksbill, as well as green turtles, maybe observed nesting on the white sand beaches of the area between October and January each year.
