Fortune Favours

Housed in a restored industrial building with lots of character, Fortune Favours is a brand-new brewpub, that not only brews on-site but also offers an extensive selection of fresh beer. Fun and innovative, this particular brewery is popular for serving up beers that are in a sense a departure from the norm. Located at Number 07, Leeds Street, Te Aron Wellington, Fortune Favours can be easily reached from a majority of the best hotels in Wellington including the likes of Oaks Wellington Hotel with relative ease.

Whistling Sisters

Based on Taranaki Street, the Whistling Sisters is a temple of beer, moreish food and plenty of fun! They too brew and serve their own beers along with a carefully curated range of craft beers from the capital's best breweries. An added point that makes them very popular is a frequently changing selection of creative and gastronomic food offerings that seamlessly complement their packed program of gatherings, meetups, live gigs and tastings.

Mean Doses

While the name might suggest otherwise, Mean Doses are very kind and lovely and make it their mission to provide discerning beer lovers with a beer range that is not easily found elsewhere with ten beers on taps waiting to fill your riggers or even takeaway containers if you prefer. Here too, they offer a grouping of both in-house brews and guest brews. Do consider stopping off on the way home at their Tor St Fillery for a '' mean dose' or to pick up some nice brew to take home and enjoy with your friends and family.

Waitoa Social Club

The brainchild of four friends who used to be in a brand, is now brewing up a beer storm and becoming a fast favourite in the community. Here you can choose from a smorgasbord of Wellington only sourced products. There are over 20 taps dedicated to home-brewed sodas, ciders and beers. Some popular brews include Double Vision, ParrotDog and Native Hard Sparkling. The best part is that the venue is easily accessible and both child and pet friendly. Consider making your way there on Wednesdays for the weekly Quiz night taking place at 7 pm.

Fork & Brewer

Nestled on 20 Bond Street, the dynamic team at the Fork & Brewer have gained a reputation for creating an array of some of the most mouthwatering beers in Wellington. All of which are carefully paired with snazzy tap badges and beautiful artwork. Currently, their IPAs and sours are receiving a lot of attention! This inner-city brewpub also boasts of over 40 taps onsite, so visitors can rest easy knowing that there are plenty of options to choose from If you are a die-hard sports fan, make your way down there on a day of a big game, they have projectors screens ready to go.
