For the moment, the government has put the Visa on Arrival option on hold. You need to apply for B211A, which requires a travel agency to sponsor you. And, you need to have your vaccination card with proof that you are fully vaccinated. But, the visa application process is straightforward. All you have to do is select the e-visa option applicable to you and fill the online form. However, since you would need a sponsor, it is better to go through a travel agency. What type of visa do you need to travel in Bali?

If you are planning a holiday in Bali, apply for the B211A tourist visa category. This is a single entry e-visa, valid for 60 days. But, it can be extended up to 4 times, allowing you to stay in Bali for 180 days in total.

What are the documents you need to apply for a tourist visa for Bali?

You need to fill in your personal contact details, and attach scans of the following documents.

Passport cover

Main passport page with the photo

Additional scan of the passport page with the signature on it (if necessary)

Vaccination certificate in English

Proof of medical insurance covering COVID related expenses (up to 30,000 USD)

And, ensure that your passport is valid up to at least 8 months from the day of entry to Indonesia.

What are the COVID related procedures to follow when travelling to Indonesia?

With COVID – 19 still spreading across the world, you will have to adhere to more scrutiny and go through a few obstacles before being allowed to travel in Indonesia. First of all, you need to do a PCR test before boarding the plane bound towards Indonesia. Depending on the country you are travelling from, this is going to be an additional expense. You also need to book a Quarantine and Repatriation Packages in Indonesia. This package costs between USD 100 and 200 per night. The cost depends on the hotel category. Most packages include 3 meals a day and airport transfer to hotel.

What documents do you need to submit when you travel to Bali?

PCR test result – You need to present test results that are not older than 48 hours before departure. The PCR test must be attached with a QR code to facilitate authentication of the document.

Vaccine card – Your vaccination card should show that you are fully vaccinated.

Health examination results – Test results from a General Practitioner indicating that you are free from infectious diseases
