The vendors are probably some of the best cooks you will encounter on the island. There is an area with miniature restaurants with tables and chairs for people to hang out and have a tasty meal. It is a popular haunt for backpackers and attracts a varied crowd. A great place to meet other travellers and socialise as well.

Over time the market has evolved that it extends past the street where it's supposed to be. It is also a platform for artists and craftspeople to showcase their talents; you can find unusual items, which you won't encounter in shops. on Koh Plus, the costs typically lower a great bonus!

Chaloklum Market

Open every Sunday from 5:00 - 9:00. Expect a bunch of kiosks selling foodstuffs, drinks, clothing, and mementoes. Chaloklum is a laid-back village that is unique to the island. It is found far north of the island and is around 20-minutes away from a motorcycle or a taxi from Thong Sala. When looking out for places to stay, check out a Koh Phangan resort the likes of Anantara Rasananda Koh Phangan Villas, which would prove to be a convenient stay.
