Mama Market Sri Thanu

This is a food court that sells many sweet items, veggies and fruits. It is open daily and has many vegan and vegetarian options available. Quite understandable, as the market is situated in the trendier, and health-conscious part of the island. On certain nights there is live music and has a very hip and interesting vibe to the place.

Pantip Market Thong Sala

This is a fresh food market with stores packed with fruits, veggies, condiments and all kinds of goods. There are lots of prepared food available to suit different taste buds here as well. It is the foremost and most popular of all the food markets on the Koh Phangan. Thai food specialities like Pad Thai, green/red curries, seafood and vegan delights can all be found here. The vendors are probably some of the best cooks you will encounter on the island. There is an area with miniature restaurants with tables and chairs for people to hang out and have a tasty meal. It is a popular haunt for backpackers and attracts a varied crowd. A great place to meet other travellers and socialise as well.

Big C Market

It is open from Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 4.00 pm to 9.00 pm.
The Big C market starts late in the afternoon when the midday heat has reduced. Find neon coloured Singha beer T-shirts, Thai-style carry bags, bandannas, multi-coloured sarongs, swimsuits, beach accessories, flower-shaped soaps, Muay Thai boxing shorts, watches cheap jewellery and all kinds of gifts and mementoes. There are also a ton of scrumptious Thai treats, from ready-made curries to fresh fruit and desserts galore.

Saturday Walking Street Market

Every Saturday from 4:00 pm to 10:00 pm. The Saturday Walking Street Market takes place on Thong Sala's Chinese Street. It is a dynamic market, find all kinds of goods, from garments, food and much more. The market has a nice environment; with lanterns lit up to soothe the night. Over time the market has evolved that it extends past the street where it's supposed to be. It is also a platform for artists and craftspeople to showcase their talents; you can find unusual items, which you won't encounter in shops. on Koh Plus, the costs typically lower a great bonus!

Chaloklum Market

Open every Sunday from 5:00 - 9:00. Expect a bunch of kiosks selling foodstuffs, drinks, clothing, and mementoes. Chaloklum is a laid-back village that is unique to the island. It is found far north of the island and is around 20-minutes away from a motorcycle or a taxi from Thong Sala.
