5 Tips for a Stress-free Vacation in Dubai - Make your trip splendid and not stressful

Dubai is one of the most popular travel destinations in the world without a doubt and here are some tips for you to remember in order to make the best of your trip to the middle eastern country without making it cause you any stress.

1

When to visit

The best time to visit Dubai is between October and April when the weather is not too hot and the environment is pleasant for travelling and relaxing on the beaches in the city. Because this time is popular among tourists it is best to book your tickets and your Palm Jumeirah hotel the likes of Avani Palm View Dubai months in advance. Keep in mind that closer to the season the prices of hotels and flights tend to go up so if you are looking at visiting Dubai around December confirm your reservations around May June to avoid any disappointment.

2

Be respectful during Ramadan

Ramadan is considered the holiest month in Dubai and it is important that you are respectful when you are travelling to Dubai during this time. In the 9th Month of the Islamic calendar Muslims observe fasting from dawn to dusk so out of respect you should not eat, drink or smoke in front of them in public areas unless you are in your hotel room or at a private event.

3

Dress modestly

In an Arab country, the general practice when it comes to clothing is to dress conservatively so it is best to dress modestly when you are in public in Dubai unless you are within hotel premises. Even though the weather is warm and the sun is out most of the day you are not encouraged to wear too many revealing clothes. Men and women are both expected to wear conservatively so as to not attract any unwanted attention.

4

Be mindful when taking pictures

Taking pictures when you are sightseeing in Dubai can be a concern so as a rule of thumb do not take any pictures of strangers or with any strangers without their permission. This rule should be strictly followed in case you are photographing a female. You are allowed to take photos of tourist areas, scenic locations and the city in general as long as no people are the main focus of the photo unless they are travelling with you. You are not allowed to take any photos of any government building, the airports or any buildings or items connected to the military as this is a punishable offence in Dubai.

5

Be mindful of PDA and alcohol consumption

Dubai has strict rules when it comes to public display of affection and consuming alcohol. It is legal to consume alcohol in the country but you are not allowed to do so in public locations as consuming alcohol is not allowed in the Islamic religion. You are also not allowed to purchase liquor or carry any alcohol into the country so it is best to steer clear when you are travelling to Dubai. When it comes to public display of affection Dubai general culture frowns upon this so it is best you do not kiss, hug and be too physical when you are in public places in the country.
