Visit Wenshu Monastery

Built during the Tang dynasty (618-907) this temple has been carefully preserved portraying multiple works of art by Chinese painters and calligraphers and providing an insight into the Chines culture. A revered relic, a piece of Xuan Zang's skull, a famous monk during the dynasty is also housed within the monastery. Just outside the monastery is a quaint tea house to refresh yourself and mingle with the locals before starting back to your accommodation in Chengdu.

Located at the heart of the city this massive square is surrounded by skyscrapers.
