Suitcase Packing List for Oman – Don’t forget the essentials!

Oman is a beautiful country with many sights to see and things to do. When you're planning your trip to Oman, there are certain items you must not forget as the temperature can get higher! Here's a packing checklist to make your life easier.

1

Essential Documents

Before you head out of your home country, there are a few vital documents you need to check and take with you. The first thing you need to do is check the validity of your passport, as this document needs to be valid for at least six months after your return date and have at least one blank page. Don't forget to take with you your passport, ID card, plane ticket (a soft copy is also encouraged), reservation documents, visa if required, international drivers license if you plan to get about by car, health and travel insurance cards, cash and vaccination certificates. Since travel has changed quite a lot due to the pandemic, the required documents may be longer than usual but it is best to have them all in order before you set out.

2

Sunglasses and a hat

The weather in Oman can get quite warm and depending on the time you're going, you can also expect to face a lot of the sun. Therefore, don't forget to take with you your sunglasses, a hat or a cap and even a scarf, which you can use to wrap around your head in case it gets too sunny.

3

A backpack

A backpack is another essential you should not forget as it will come in handy whenever you are out exploring. It is best if your backpack is a waterproof one that is sturdy and has plenty of room for your essentials such as your chargers, passport, water bottle and other stuff. It is also best if your backpack itself is lightweight and foldable as you can even put it back in your suitcase when it's time to head home and don't have to worry about how you are going to fit it in!

4

Chargers and power banks

It is always best to charge your devices fully before you head out of Avani Muscat Hotel, or any of the Muscat Oman hotels you're staying at. Nevertheless, carrying a portable charge or power bank will also come in handy as you won't have to make any stops to charge your phone or devices during your adventures. You can also charge your power banks fully in order to ensure they survive through the entirety of your holiday! Other technological things you will need are a memory card, a sim that can be used in Oman, a waterproof phone case, and even a selfie stick!

5

Medicines

You ought to also pack any medication you will need, just in case you cannot find the right type in Oman. However, it is best you also carry your prescription with you in case you need to buy new medicines arrive and the pharmacist can find the best alternative in case the one you use are not available.
