5 Things to do in Quy Nhon, Vietnam that you can’t miss – Anyone for absorbing encounters?

Feelings of serenity and isolation will descend over you when in Quy Nhon; a sublime Vietnamese locale bathed in beautiful beaches, historic edifices, and an inviting vibe that will surely grow on you.

1

Banh It Towers

The traditions and practices of the Cham people who lived in Central and Southern Vietnam are evident when one begins touring Quy Nhon with the Binh Dinh Province showcasing a vast collection of temples to behold. Amongst these, the Banh It Towers serve as a constant reminder of the ingenuity of the olden day builder. Comprising 4 towers, the Main and Fire towers are what would warrant close inspection given the brilliant brickwork on view. Vistas of rice fields and the countryside will greet you as your senses begin to take in the enormity of one of the region's prized possessions.

2

Quy Nhon Beach

By far one of the most cherished escapes, Quy Nhon Beach paves the way for avid beachgoers to unwind and watch as the world passes by. Rise at the crack of dawn to join the locals in their daily morning walk or head over during the afternoon to swim in its cooling waters. As evening nears, you can consider a game of beach football or simply settle down to admiring the waves coupled with the fun and frolic which is part and parcel of Quy Nhon Beach.

3

Eo Gio

Meaning "Windy Waist" is the rugged section of Eo Gio; a wonderful means of delighting in Nhon Ly's coastline. A mountainous stretch borders the coast which will certainly coax you into going down the dirt pathways that conclude at the bottom of a hill. However, do mind the sudden gusts as you descend in the direction of the waters where you can look to dabble your toes while schools of fish and other forms of marine life swimming about.

4

Snorkelling

Should the thought of snorkelling amongst the pageantry of the oceans be to your liking, then what's stopping you from donning your gear and setting a course for one, amazing adventure? Called the 'Maldives of Vietnam' and that too for good reason, Ky Co Beach will allow you plenty of time and space to have a splendid encounter. The white powdery sands will act as a prelude to what lies ahead and beneath no sooner you are fully suited and in the water. Move at a pace conducive to you and your preferences where you will soon stumble upon impressive corals such as brain lobe coral and a mesmeric display of fish.

5

The Tomb of Han Mac Tu

Synonymous with the country's modern romantic poetry scene is the name Han Mac Tu (1912 – 1940) who is considered one of the finest poets of his generation. The late poet's resting place found in Thi Nhan Hill is shaded by lush foliage and a statuette of the Virgin Mary looking over. Scenes of flower gardens will be your guide en route to where a half-meter cross and fine architecture will come into focus whilst adorning the tomb. Located a mere 7.8 km from Avani Quy Nhon Resort which is one of the Vietnam beach resorts that might be checked into ahead of such travels, the Tomb of Han Mac Tu portrays a more somber yet inspiring side of Quy Nhon with an opportunity to learn of one of its fondest sons.
