Here is a list of 10 great southwest of WA, Australia beaches that I have had the privilege to visit and enjoy!

Meelup Beach - The Margaret River Region

Meelup Beach is located in the Southwest corner of Western Australia. Meelup Beach is a beautiful sand beach and is very popular with families, and it's perfect for picnics and swimming and snorkelling in its calm waters. In addition, it has BBQ's and toilet / shower facilities.

Misery Beach, Albany

Squeaky, pristine white sand and stunning clear waters make it a no-brainer, but its intriguing history makes it worth a second look.
Recently crowned Australia's best beach, here's what you need to know about Albany's Misery Beach - anything but sad.

Gnarabup Beach, Margaret River Region of Western Australia

Gnarabup Beach is the longest and most popular swimming beach in Prevelly and spans from the southern headland in the south to Surfers Point in the north. With walking trails along the dunes and easy access to the white sands Gnarabup is fantastic.
There is a cafe just south of the boat ramp that offers a break from the sun, and toilet and shower facilities are right next door to the car park.

Lucky Bay, Southeast of Esperance

Lucky Bay is a bay located on the south coast of Western Australia. Located south-east of Esperance, the bay is a tourist spot known for its bright white sands and turquoise-coloured waters.
Great for swimming, snorkelling, fishing, surfing, launching small boats and also for camping and whale watching. Nearby there are solar powered showers and public toilets. Kangaroos also frequently visit Lucky Bay.

Peaceful Bay, Short drive from Denmark

It's a chilled-out seaside holiday spot just 40-minutes' drive from Denmark, or a five-hour drive from Perth.
In spring, the dunes and coastal bushlands are carpeted in the colourful blooms of wildflowers.
Good for Camping, Fishing, Four Wheel Driving, Hiking, Scuba Diving, Snorkelling, Swimming, Walks and also has Carpark, Picnic Area, Public Toilet facilities.

Smiths Beach, Yallingup

Pretty beach with some protection from southerly sea breezes and a reef break for surfing. Popular in summer with families who are looking to cool off.
Facilities at Smiths are excellent with toilets, showers, a resort, restaurant and cafe.
Closer to the car park children and beginners may sometimes find beach-break waves to surf.

Hamelin Bay, South of Margaret River

Hamelin Bay is a special piece of WA coastline, excellent for snorkelling, diving and fishing.
It’s a tourism hotspot thanks to beautiful beaches with the potential for excellent snorkelling, diving, fishing and of course, intimate moments with stingrays sometimes as big as 2m across!

Greens Pool, Denmark

Same as it ever was!

The beautiful Greens Pool in Denmark Western Australia has been the iconic destination for visitors to the region since the 1900s. Located in the William Bay.
Green’s Pool is surrounded by gradually sloping rock formations cut with small crevasses and pools – perfect for children young and old. On days when the wind is up, the rocks make a perfect shelter for enjoying a wind-free day at the beach.

Bunker Bay, Naturaliste

A pristine 2 km long sandy beach at the northwest end of Geographe Bay with surfing, protected swimming and dont forget your fishing gear. Surf lifesaving present in summer.
The car park area has toilets and showers and there is a cafe to grab a coffee at as you head onto the beach. Surf Lifesaving is present on part of the beach over summer.

Middleton Beach — Albany Region

Middleton Beach was named after Captain Middleton in 1934. Captain Middleton is an ancestor of Kate Middleton now married to Prince William and proud mother of Prince George. He brought Governor James Stirling to Western Australia.
It is the main swimming beach for Albany and offers swimming and recreational beach activities. The waters are protected by King George Sound; the Southern Ocean's waves do not usually reach these sheltered waters.
