BEST LOVE SONGS AND WHY

Not all these songs are recent. I love my old tunes so you will find quite the collection. Many of these songs have a personal meaning for me which I will go into below, some I just really like because of the tunes or the wording. Follow me for more lists. Fun Fact: I was playing my playlist down the river with a group of people one day and they asked if I had split personalities. My playlist is THAT random. This is a comprehensive list of the best LOVE songs. I would love you to contribute your suggestions and to vote for your favourites. You can also come visit me here for more playlists.

Fancy Like by Walter Hayes

Oh, I was introduced to this one on a road trip to Roma by my cousin Dan who sings along to it better than I ever could. It has great memories for me because it was the first road trip we had done together since we were in our early 20's. Also, I'm a sucker for a country romance song and this hit all the right notes for me.

Stuck With U by Justin Beiber

As corny as it sounds, me and JB go way back. That first song of his (Baby)............I'm embarrassed to admit but I once made a taxi driver play it on repeat all the way to the airport. I'm sure he still hates me

This Years Love by David Gray

One of the best love songs of all time in my opinion. Reminds me of a boy I loved in my early 20's who I still have the world's most fondest memories of. I think of him and smile every time I hear it.

Heaven by Bryan Adams

Sad Fact. The entire Bryan Adams collection is likely permanently tainted for me due to the fact that my ex and I were both obsessed and that one of our best times together was the Bryan Adams concert at Sandstone Point Hotel. This was OUR song. I refused to listen to it for a year straight post break-up and then finally got sick of the whole stabbed in the heart sensation every time I did come across it, that I added it to my playlist and forced myself to listen to it on repeat until the pain levels were manageable. It's still tainted though!

In Spite of Ourselves by John Prine

Possibly the cruelest thing anyone has ever done to me. I still CAN NOT fathom why one human would do this to another. Long story short. Six months post break-up, my ex sent me this song via message. This made me pretty damn angry considering the lyrics:
"In spite of ourselves,
We'll end up a'sittin' on a rainbow
Against all odds
Honey, we're the big door prize".
Sounds kinda romantic, right? Except he is/was in a relationship with the women he cheated on me with when he sent it. I told him he should send it to her instead and her replied that it was HER song about them. NOT EVEN KIDDING. I forced myself to listen to it on repeat as per poor Bryan Adams above until it didn't make my blood boil anymore for hearing it (Immersion Therapy Guys!). It doesn't affect me anymore but the song is permanently tainted just the same. I still have no idea WHY he would send that. The mind boggles.

Masterplan by Diesel

Diesel is highly underrated in my opinion.

My Oh My by Camila Cabello

Reminds me of the guy I'm currently dating. Probably not a good thing but it sure is fun. Okay, it probably shouldn't be in the love song section but I didn't have enough sex songs to make it a section on it's own alright!

Love Songs Ain't for Us (feat. Keith Urban) - song by Amy Shark, Keith Urban | Spotify

I love most of Amy's music. This is one of my favourites.

Forever in Blue Jeans by Neil Diamond

I love this song. Also I think it's an underrated love song. Up there with Fancy Like for me.

Perfect by Ed Sheeran (but the Paul Gannon Remix Version

Simply the best love song going and add the Ed's lyrics to Gannon's remixing ability and you have, well, PERFECT!
