Wakeboarding is a balancing act. It is a bit like walking on water (well balancing on a board). You'll be standing on a board while a motorboat tows you across the water. All, you have to do is learn how to balance yourself while holding on to the rope. Experts advise that when you first take up the sport, you should put 60 per cent of your body's weight on your front foot, and remain close to the board. A shorter rope is easier to handle. Hence, beginners need to keep their tow rope short, and the handle low. Once you learn the art of balancing and you gain confidence, you can start learning some tricks on your wakeboard.
