A List of Must-visit Beaches in the Paradise on the North Coast of New South Wales - Port Stephens

Port Stephens has some of NSW's most stunning beaches. You will find everything here in Port Stephens, from wild and isolated small beaches flanked by towering headlands to family-friendly calm golden sandy beaches with hardly a wave. Here is a list of the most beautiful beaches!

1

Zenith Beach

Zenith Beach has something to offer everyone in the family. The high peaks of Tomaree Mountain and Ste-phens Peak surround Zenith Beach, giving it an extremely dramatic effect. With the very first glimpse, you are going to be convinced that this is one of the best beaches here. It's difficult to describe how breathtak-ing it is unless you experience it for yourself. It's 400 metres long and has occasional waves, but it's partly protected by the headlands. This makes it a nice place for a swim if you don't venture out too far. Besides, if you would like to find Port Stephens accommodation close to this beach, you can check out properties like Oaks Port Stephens Pacific Blue Resort.

2

Wreck Beach

Wreck Beach's name alone conjures up images of a wild beach out somewhere on a desert island, and in fact, that's precisely how it feels! The only thing that is missing here is a wreck! It, like Zenith Beach, is sur-rounded by magnificent headlands and boasts a crystal clear sea. It's the sort of beach where you'd expect to see a lot of people, yet it's delightfully peaceful. It's just 50m long, but it is 50m of beautiful sand and usually moderate waves, making it a wonderful spot for a swim. It's the sort of beach where you go for an hour and then find yourself unable to leave. Wreck Beach is a must-see for anybody who likes beautiful, peaceful beaches.

3

Fingal Bay

Fingal Bay is a vast expanse of sandy beaches with a relative low-tide sand bar that leads to Fingal Island. It's a stunning beach with water that's usually as calm as a millpond, making it an excellent option for any-one seeking a dip without the presence of waves. It's also almost a kilometre long. The fact that Fingal Bay is often monitored will provide additional peace of mind to families with small children.

4

Box Beach

Box Beach isn't known for having the largest waves in Australia, but this is one of the most popular ones. It's also a stunning beach flanked by headlands and distant islands. It's not usually that crowded, but it will always be during a surf competition. Due to the obvious waves, it's not ideal for swimming, but witnessing the surfers is always entertaining.

5

Birubi Beach

Birubi Beach is renowned for its enormous sand dunes, over 40m high! The beach itself is vast, and despite the occasional 4WD and presence of camels, you will be given your privacy! Aside from the beach, explor-ing the sand dunes just behind the beach here is a must. Officially named Worimi Conservation Lands, the dunes resemble a miniature Sahara here in Port Stephens. They are breathtaking, especially as you get close enough to be engulfed by them.
