When it comes to travelling abroad, particularly with kids, it is easy to feel a little anxious about negotiating the needs of the adults and the little ones. However, when you visit Kuala Lumpur, you will find yourself surrounded by activities that can be enjoyed by both parties simultaneously.

Enjoy the Sunway Lagoon

Located in the heart of Kuala Lumpur City Centre, there are people of all ages. The wave machines and their soft spray offers a refreshing day out with the kids. If the kids feel up to it, they can even take a shot at trying to ride a few waves with some adult supervision.
Additionally, if they have some energy to spare after the above, they can unwind by enjoying the wonders of the Wildlife Park that houses wildlife ranging from tigers to pythons.
The older kids amongst you can also try their luck at the archery range and the bungee jump located at the Extreme Park. There is also a horror-themed park if you are up for it!

Visiting KidZania

If you are staying at a hotel in Bukit Bintang, for example, a place like The Kuala Lumpur Journal Hotel then you will find yourself just a 20-minute journey from this paradise designed for kids between the ages of 4 to 14.
This self-contained model and miniature city are a huge hit with kids and they even get to play real roles within the city. Some kids can jump between experiences such as being a surgeon, fireman and pain expert.

Try out Skytrex Adventure

This is an ideal location to visit if you know your kids have an adventurous soul. Skytrex adventures offer those who visit the opportunity to dive into the ultimate forest adventure experience located in a jungle within the suburbs.
The children will be able to choose from adventure assault courses amongst the trees, rope bridges, flying foxes and even give a go at the climbing nets.
The attraction is open from Tuesday to Friday between 9 am and 2 pm with a different operational set up during the weekend. With a cost of roughly $13, the experience is well worth the price.

The Berjaya Times Square Theme Park

This is essentially Kuala Lumpur's biggest shopping mall and has been the go-to place for an onsite them park that can be used to let your kids have some fun while the adults go shopping. Furthermore, the Berjaya Times Square is also officially, Malaysia's biggest indoor theme park.
With an indoor roller coaster, there is plenty for the kids and even massage chairs for tired grownups.

i-City Theme Park and its various wonders

This is a stunning outdoor park that offers visitors a different section of wonder. The water park section is ideal for people looking to cool off on the hot days and the City Walk is the go-to for fans of horror, while other attractions such as the 5D cinema and the Trick Art Museum are huge draws for visitors as well.
