The National Monument

The National Monument is a 132-meter high construction, created in honour of the struggle for Independence. This amazing structure can be appreciated at ground level or scale to the summit to enjoy a remarkable view of Jakarta. The national monument has a special spot in the spirit of the Indonesian people. It is frequented by many locals and tourists and is one of the best places to visit at night. Istigal Mosque

Built in 1978, the Istigal Mosque is the biggest in Southeast Asia. The mosque can accommodate at least 200,000 people. The courtyard is designed with marble and ornate minarets and interiors have ornamental Islamic decorations. The construction and layout of the mosque draw a large number of tourists annually and are one of the most significant sights in Jakarta.
