List of the Best Beaches in Qatar- For the beach bums!

While you may not think of Qatar as a beach destination, there are beautiful beaches with exciting activities. There is a beach in Qatar for everyone, whether you want to take your family out or simply relax and enjoy some alone time.

1

Banana Island

Beachgoers may take a luxurious catamaran at the port close to the Museum of Islamic Art and sail to Banana Island. Spend a day of swimming, kayaking, water sliding, and taking part in other thrilling water sports or family activities. A day ticket to the island costs about 350 riyals and includes boat transportation, pool plus beach access, with some credit for restaurants as well as activities. Besides, if you are seeking spa hotels in Doha, you can check out properties like Al Najada Doha Hotel by Tivoli.

2

Khor Al Adaid

Khor Al Adaid's stunning landscape and wildlife attract nature enthusiasts. If UNESCO calls a wildlife reserve 'a spectacular landscape,' you definitely know you are in for a treat. Watching the sunset from the surrounding sand dunes or watching migrating bird groups inhabiting the coastlines are some of the exciting things you can do out here. This protected area offers camping, fishing and also star gazing. A 4x4 is required to reach Khor Al Adaid, since regular cars cannot traverse the dunes.

3

Al Thakhira Beach

Al Thakhira Beach, approximately 60 kilometres north of Doha, is a famous destination among beach lovers. With beach benches, a strolling promenade, and kiddies' playgrounds, this place offers a great family day out! A magnificent mangrove forest stretches along the shore of this Northern Qatari beach. Whilst you can see the mangroves from these beaches, a kayak trip is more enjoyable. The biodiversity is amazing, as are the numerous bird species that call this area home.

4

Fuwairit Beach

Fuwairit Beach is approximately 100 kilometres north of Doha. Due to its remote location, this beach is seldom frequented. Its shallow, quiet waters allow you to cool yourself while admiring the magnificent rock formations. The beach is not yet developed, so bring an umbrella with you and a picnic. From April through July, Fuwairit Beach is closed due to the hawksbill turtles that lay eggs there.

5

Zekreet Beach

The beach of Zekreet is often characterised as "isolated," and its position on a peninsula in Western Qatar backs up this claim. To get to this beach, you'll need to hire a 4x4 and take a trip over the rocky terrain. Take goggles if you would like to go snorkelling here. You can also remain inland to view deer, gazelles, and ostriches grazing freely. On Zekreet Beach, there are no special facilities, so bring all the food plus gear you'll need for an exciting day on Qatar's west coast.

6

Umm Bab Beach

Umm Bab Beach is about 32 minutes south of Zekreet Beach. The beautiful sand isn't the only thing that attracts beachgoers; there are lots of date palms to provide shade from the sun. Owing to beach amenities like barbeque grills and children's play areas, you can happily spend a whole day on this beach.
