Below are my favorite EdTech tools we've gone over in my EDU228 class. They're rated 1-10, with one being the best, in my opinion. I hope you find them as helpful as I imagine they are.
ClassDojo is a great tool that helps keep classroom management, communication, and grades in one place. It's free and available for teachers, students, and parents. Accessible and available on any device, making sharing moments easy. There are a plethora of tools available for online and in-class projects.
Nearpod allows real-time insights into student understanding through interactive lessons, interactive videos, gamified learning, formative assessment, and activities. Free to teachers, students, and administrators. It allows creativity and connection in class and remotely.
Google Classroom is your central place where teaching and learning come together. This tool allows teachers to keep learning and classroom management all in one place. It's easy to use with other tech tools, from grading to attendance; it's a great free tool. Communicating with parents is also easy.
Classcraft is a fun game for teachers and students. With real-life and online treats, what students do in both areas can affect their game points. Parents can also see students' progress. BrainPOP is a great way to learn things quickly. It's an Animated Educational Site for Kids with a plethora of topics. Activities, lessons, games, and more allow students to have fun while learning.
GooseChase is an online platform that helps you run real-world scavenger hunts. Free to use, whether it be back-to-school or a field trip. It's an excellent way for students to get moving.
Google Expeditions is a free app that has VR trips to a plethora of places. Teachers act as the guide, and students are the explorers.
Book Creator allows students to read, create, and even publish their books. Use an interactive book for a lesson or an icebreaker. It's free and available as an app.
Flipgrid is a free video discussion tool, available on most devices. Teachers can post a topic and students can respond to it and to their peers.
Google Slides is a great free edtech tool for presentations, lesson plans, activities, and more. It's easy to use and has many instruments for interative activites. Bitmoji Classrooms are often on here.
