Kahoot is a free to use, engaging platform which allows teachers to create fun quizzes for students to use to review the class content. Kahoot adds a competitive, game-like twist to typically dreaded review sessions.
Nearpod allows teachers to create interactive lessons which aid student engagement. Nearpod also allows teachers to monitor individual student progress in a way which isn't embarrassing to the student. These lessons are completely customizable and can have various forms of assessments associated with them to assess student comprehension.
Google Expeditions allows students to see and explore the outside world through virtual lessons and walkthroughs. Students can interact with the scenery, bring abstract concepts to life, without having to worry about issues such as price.
Book Creator is an interactive app which allows students to... CREATE BOOKS! Students can create short stories about anything they desire, usually tied to lesson content. Provides a fun, interactive way for students to demonstrate their comprehension of what they are learning in class.
Class Dojo provides a fun way for teachers to manage their classroom, communicate with parents and assist with behavioral management. Students can see their performance in real-time as their monster either gains or loses points based on their in-class behavior
MergeCube is an AR device which allows students to visually see the content they are learning about. This tool allows students to analyze and physically see things which they likely would not be able to without the addition of AR technology.
Flipgrid is a free to use app which allows students to participate in class discussions in video format. Rather than simply typing out their answer, students can record themselves explaining what they found, adding to the level of connectedness and community in the classroom setting.
BrainPop provides interactive, educational videos which help students better comprehend the content they covered in class. BrainPop also provides quizzes and activities to go along with these videos to assess student comprehension and help teachers identify shortcomings in student learning.
Mursion is a VR-based tool which allows teachers to practice their lessons or rehearse classroom management with realistic scenarios. This app allows teachers to experiment new things without the risk of failure in the classroom setting.
