Family-Friendly Activities in Singapore- options galore!

Singapore is an ideal destination for a family vacation. With plenty of things to do together or even on your own.

1

A day at Universal Studios

Universal Studios is one of the principal attractions in Singapore. It is located in Resorts World Sentosa and is the only one in South East Asia. There are 28 rides and seven themed zones. Exciting rides such as Battlestar Galactica: Human vs Cylon and Transformers are the fan favourites. Other than that, there are loads of rides and attractions to amuse everyone.

2

Gardens by the Bay

Built over 250 hectares of land and located next to the Marina Reservoir. The Park has three gardens bordering the waterfront. Bay South is the largest and is over 54 hectares, and has the largest glass greenhouse in the world. The two conservatories are stunning constructions, named the Flower Dome, and Cloud Forest. A Children's Garden organises adventure trails for kids. Bay East stands at 32 hectares, and its boulevard borders the Marina Reservoir. Catch some gorgeous sights of the Singaporean skyline from here.

3

Singapore Botanic Gardens

It is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and is over 160 years old. TripAdvisor rates it as Asia's most visited park and is free to enter. Over 10,000 species of flora and fauna can be found covering 82 hectares of land. The National Orchid Garden is considered the most famous attraction, but an entrance fee is required. This section is around 300 hectares and houses over 1000 species of orchids and over 2000 hybrid species. There is a miniature tropical rainforest of 6 hectares older than the location itself. You can find three lakes, Swan Lake, Eco Lake and Symphony Lake. Many concerts and events are held during weekends.

4

Stroll Along the Marina Bay Waterfront Promenade

Marina Bay Promenade is a delightful 3.5 km walkway that has many attractions on its route. Find the Marina Centre, the Bayfront and Collyer Quay among them. The atmosphere is vibrant, with fascinating skyscrapers decorating the skyline. One of the best activities to do in Singapore and the perfect way to have an enjoyable day with the family without spending unnecessarily. The promenade features pretty fountains, yoga sessions, museums and sometimes free outdoor performances.

5

Explore Downtown Singapore on a Bumboat

Bumboat is a small painted with eyes and face and used as a taxi! There are two major bumboat companies; Singapore River Cruise and Singapore River Explorer. There is a standard route that stops at Esplanade, Clark Quay, Boat Quay, Clemenceau, and Robertson Quay. Sit back in your bumboat and enjoy sites such as the Merlion and the statue of Sir Stamford Raffles. Late afternoon is the best time to explore the city. Towards the evening, you will be able to capture a beautiful sunset overlooking the waterfront. During a night-time ride, there is a chance of witnessing the light show at Marina Bay. When looking for accommodation, PARKROYAL On Beach Road in Singapore are among the places that come highly recommended.
