Over 10,000 species of flora and fauna can be found covering 82 hectares of land. The National Orchid Garden is considered the most famous attraction, but an entrance fee is required. This section is around 300 hectares and houses over 1000 species of orchids and over 2000 hybrid species. There is a miniature tropical rainforest of 6 hectares older than the location itself. You can find three lakes, Swan Lake, Eco Lake and Symphony Lake. Many concerts and events are held during weekends.
Marina Bay Promenade is a delightful 3.5 km walkway that has many attractions on its route. Find the Marina Centre, the Bayfront and Collyer Quay among them. The atmosphere is vibrant, with fascinating skyscrapers decorating the skyline. Sit back in your bumboat and enjoy sites such as the Merlion and the statue of Sir Stamford Raffles. Late afternoon is the best time to explore the city. Towards the evening, you will be able to capture a beautiful sunset overlooking the waterfront. During a night-time ride, there is a chance of witnessing the light show at Marina Bay.
