Plan your Seychelles trip – Time to create your holiday itinerary!

Seychelles is an archipelago consisting of about 115 islands, located in the Indian Ocean. Home to numerous beaches, UNESCO sites, and amazing food, here are some ideas for your itinerary.

1

Anse Lazio

Anse Lazio, also known as Chevalier Bay is located on the North shore of Praslin Island, known to be one of Seychelles' most beautiful beaches. In order to access the beach, you may have to hike over a hill, but it is well worth the effort. This long stretch of blonde sand merges with the crystal clear waters, flanked by rounded granite boulders. Fringing the beach, you will see coconut palms and Takamaka trees, which also provide shade for relaxing and refueling. The best time to visit this spot would be early morning or late afternoon when it is less crowded.

2

Baie Lazare

This village was named after the 18th-century French explorer Lazare Picault and is located on the main island, Mahe. If you are looking to explore the pretty village, one of the area's main tourist attractions is the neo-Gothic Baie Lazare Church dedicated to St Francis of Assisi, where you can also catch stunning views of the area! While you're there, drop by the stunning beaches of Anse Soleil and Petite Anse which boast striking blue waters and dazzling white sand.

3

Morne Seychellois National Park

If you are a nature lover, then Morne Seychellois National Park is a must-visit as it is the largest national park in the country and covers over 20 percent of the area of Mahe. The highest point is 905 metres high and overlooks the stunning capital of Victoria. A haven for wildlife, there are notable species of birds such as bulbul, sunbird, and scops-owl which call this area their home. After a day of relaxing at one of the many all-inclusive resorts in Seychelles, the likes of Anantara Maia Seychelles Villas, you need to head to Morne Seychellois as it is home to some of the best hikes on the island! You will pass tea plantations and catch beautiful views of the coast.

4

Ste Anne Marine National Park

A 20-minute boat ride from Mahe, this national park was the first of its kind in the Indian Ocean, established in 1973. You can snorkel and scuba dive to witness the rich diversity of marine life in the park's coral reeds and explore most of the islands within the reserve in a day. Sainte Anne Island is known to be the most important nesting site for hawksbill turtles.

5

Aride Island Nature Reserve Day Trip

Aride Island is known to be the breeding ground of 18 species of sea birds. Nature lovers will love this place as it has the highest density of lizards in the world, as well as numerous endemic species of flowers! Wright's gardenia is unique to this island. The island is closed to visitors from May through September due to rough surf, but visits by helicopter can be arranged.
