Our 7-month program in commercial diving is comprised of the following subjects, taken in the order listed. The program is only available in its entirety for new students. However, individual refresher courses may be taken by Alumni.

Divers Institute of Technology in Seattle, Washington was founded in 1968. DIT is, and has always been, Veteran Owned and Veteran Operated. From its inception, DIT has had one goal: to ensure that all graduates entering the diving industry possess the core skills and competencies necessary to compete in their new career.
Updated Post 9/11 GI Bill Information Effective August 1, 2012, the Post 9/11 GI Bill will pay qualified veterans up to $18,077.50 to attend DIT (please see the table below for detailed information on eligibility). Veterans will also receive $1,545.00 per month (if 100% eligible) for housing allowance (note: please visit the Basic Housing Allowance website here for up-to-date, current rates).
Upon completion of our 900-hour program, and meeting the requirements set forth by each certifying authority while in school, graduates may earn the following certifications: Canadian Standards Association (CSA) Unrestricted Surface Supplied Air Diver Certification, issued by the Divers Certification Board of Canada (DCBC) Association of Dive Contractors International (ADCI) Entry Level Tender/Diver Certification First Aid, CPR, Oxygen provider, A.E.D.
