Established in 2004, the Avenue of Stars is currently located at Tsim Sha Tsui, right alongside Victoria Harbour. Over the years, thousands of people have walked along this stretch and seen all those wore we deemed worthy immortalised in red. Each statue is 4.5 meters tall and is essentially a replica of the award handed to winners at the annual Hong Kong Film Awards.
This 440-metre-long walkway is now covered with the signatures and handprints set in the cement of all the stars that have earned their place here. Amongst these stars are those, who have also gone on to win prominence in Hollywood as well. These celebrities range from Jackie Chan, Jet Li, Stephen Chow and of course, Bruce Lee.
With cinema playing a considerable role in the cultures of many nations, it is no surprise that Hong Kong has taken steps to memorialise its stars. Those staying at a Kowloon hotel in Tsim Sha Tsui, such as the Park Hotel Hong Kong, will find themselves a mere 15-minute walk from the Avenue of Stars.
