5 Thrilling watersports to try in Palm Jumeirah - Take your pick!

Dubai offers more than shopping and fancy hotels, try these water activities next time you are there for an exhilarating holiday.

1

Scuba diving

The temperate sea that surrounds Dubai is perfect for scuba diving. Get to see sea turtles, eels, dolphins, and sharks as you dive beneath the ocean. The Atlantis Dive Centre has a PADI certified diving centre and have training sessions for those new to diving and snorkelling. Over 65,000 marine animals live on the Ambassador Lagoon, which is a large open-air aquarium. So, make the most of the experience while there.

2

Parasailing

Parasailing in Dubai is the ideal water sport for anyone who wants to relax while having a great time. A parasail is a parachute that is attached to a boat. The boat will raise its speed allowing the parachute to float in the air. Get some amazing glimpses of Dubai and encounter an adrenaline rush like never before as you sail through the air.

3

Speed boating

A Speed boat is a wonderful way of including the whole family in adventure sports in Dubai. The speedboat tour takes you out to the Dubai beachfront. The tour will further take you to all the top monuments in the city, which is a great opportunity to get some photos. Speedboating is a safe activity, and 4 people can travel together. It allows for the experience to be shared by all.

4

Windsurfing and kite surfing

It is a refreshing activity to try out, even for first-timers! Get lulled by the gentle breezes of the ocean as you sail across the seas. You can even observe a stunning sunset while windsurfing. Basic training will be provided by providers in Jumeirah Beach, such as in Kit Zone Dubai. So, even those new to the sport can try it out!

In kitesurfing, a kite and board are used to push you over the water. Unlike surfing, you don't require significant wave activity and can be done under any circumstances, from calm lagoons to big waved seas. A decent amount of wind and water is all you need to kitesurf. It is a popular water sport in the Dubai Marina, and lessons are provided for beginners in Kit Zone Dubai. If you are staying close to 5-star resorts in Dubai, such as the Anantara The Palm Dubai Resort it will be easier to experience all these and more.

Sea breacher

It is a mechanised looking shark that is an adventure machine. The two-seater machine looks like an aircraft, and you can travel into the water with an instructor beside you. The machine will lead you on an exciting journey at a rate of 55 mph on the outside of the water and suddenly dive to a depth of five feet into the sea. That's not all of its tricks, it can spontaneously soar into the sky at a height of 18 feet. Certainly, one of the most unique water activities to try out in Dubai.
